About
What is Subspotter?
A daily puzzle inspired by popular geography guessing games with an electrical twist.
What's the purpose of Subspotter?
It was developed as a fun project to support Cancer Research UK, as part of Scottish Power's graduate fundraising challenge. Our team Powering For A Cure aims to raise over £4,000 by October 2026 across various activities.
If you enjoy the game, you can donate to the Cancer Research UK fundraiser to show your support.
How do I play?
You'll be shown a panoramic Street View image near a substation. Simply guess the location by placing a pin on the map.
Why do I need to create an account to play?
Subspotter is self-funded and uses Google Maps and Street View, which have usage costs. Requiring an account helps keep those costs manageable by limiting each player to one puzzle per day.
